Piatt Hotel Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Preventative Maintenance Technician. This position will travel locally and primarily focus on routine preventative maintenance tasks and projects as well as various other maintenance duties as needed in our portfolio of hotels/restaurants in the Pittsburgh region. 

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of guest rooms in our hotel and other areas in the hotel/restaurants. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of guest rooms and related equipment to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, lubricating door hinges, and repairing minor plumbing issues.
• Inspect and test electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems in guest rooms to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, work orders, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance projects to minimize guest disruption.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance work.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment or systems in guest rooms.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in guest room maintenance to provide the highest level of service and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
